The Infinite Game Simon Sinek Dec 2020 Short term thinking loses to long term thinking in the long term; companies/people prove it.
So You Want to Talk About Race Ijeoma Oluo Dec 2020 Very illuminating - gave an in-depth look at a Person of Color’s perspective on conversations about race. I especially valued the formulaic instruction on how to have these conversations.
Talking to Strangers Malcom Gladwell Dec 2020 [Audiobook] Wow! Listened to the audiobook read by Gladwell himself. Like a podcast, it was very theatrical. Informative and entertaining as with all MG’s books. Bottom line: strangers are confusing and we should embrace our inability to understand them.
Red Notice Bill Browder Jan 2021 Reads like a spy novel, but it’s true. Worth a read - Browder smacks down corrupt officials hard. I recommend checking out his YouTube channel and websites as you read.
Decision Points George W. Bush Jan 2021 [Audiobook] Colors the history of Iraq, Katrina, stem cell research, and more. I appreciated reading an in-depth history from a very Republican point-of-view.
The Room Where it Happened John Bolton Jan 2021 [Audiobook] Bolton is a HAWK. But he at least has a comprehensive and consistent worldview. The book tells several astonishing tales only a Trump-insider could tell.
The Road Cormac Mccarthy Jan 2021 It has been a while since I read any literary fiction. I enjoyed reading this slowly, looking up new words, analyzing symbols, and speculating about various truths the author only hints at (like the Man’s sickness, what the nature of the Event was, and the truth about the ending).
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child J. K. R. Et Al Jan 2021 Yuck! Trashy fan fic. Don’t bother.
The Sentinel Lee and Andrew Child Feb 2021 Another Jack Reacher. The usual! A fun, easy read.
The Woman Next Door Yewande Omotoso Feb 2021 meh
